Do the Impossible

Hello friends of the inter-web!

It's been a hot second (as in, two months and a day) since I've lasted posted. I supposed I ought to sum up everything that has happened thus far, but it's near impossible to do that in a short and concise post, so the majority of this post will be pictures.

As many may have noticed, I've done a lot of posting on my social media pages (mostly Instagram, though I try to keep Facebook up-to-date as well). I fear most of my updates will be through those sites, but here's to hope that I'll become better at updating!

To begin, I've already been able to experience a ton of things I've never experienced before while on this program. Meeting Wendy for one, going to Disney Springs for another. As roommates, we also went to explore the Boardwalk resorts, which is another thing I've never done.

I also can't express how amazing it is to see my dreams becoming a reality before my very eyes. Every day, I get to see magic happen and experience it for myself. Just like any job, there are and will always be difficulties, but I've never stopped loving what I'm doing, and I don't think I ever will.

I've also made some incredible friends!I remember being so worried when I heard the warnings about full-time/part-time/seasonal cast members snubbing the college program participants. I remember all the concern I had about my competence being judged for my appearance, but all of those concerns have washed away with the help of my fellow cast members. Aside from my theater, I have never felt like I belonged so well as I do working with Disney's entertainment crew. They're all amazing people and they all deserve the same amount of love and respect that they show me.

Some things I have discovered about myself is that, while I can rant about things a fair amount, I'm actually more of a peace-loving creature than I thought I was. I find it hard to thrive when tension is present, which has led to me developing a very "whatever happens, happens" attitude about life.

I have also learned to grow closer to God while on this program. For every trial I have endured so far, I have countered it with ten prayers. I cannot express my gratitude for having the Gospel in my life to provide peace, comfort, and guidance when I needed it most.

Some things I've decided recently that I'm hoping to accomplish on this program are as follows (and are things you should be looking forward to seeing me experience through blog posts and social media):

Eating around the World:

By "World", I don't just mean The World Showcase. I mean ALL of the Walt Disney World Resort. I want to eat at every restaurant in every park, and all of the resorts at least once. It's a goal of mine to try new things and take advantage of the opportunities I have been afforded by being here.

Collectables:For every "friend" I get to have a playdate with, I want to collect SOMETHING to remember them by. Whether it be pins, plush toys, key chains, or t-shirts, I want to remember all of my special pals that made this program so amazing!

Play-dates:

Not only do I want memories from playing with my special pals, but I also want memories with my other, more human, pals as well! Because of all the amazing people I've been able to meet, I don't want to forget all of the amazing things they've done to help this program become something -- well --

MAGICAL!
