(currently) Home for the Holidays ❤

"Oh there's no place like home for the Holidays!"

... At least, normally there isn't unless you're waiting to start your Disney College Program, haha.

This past week has been fun. No college, testing out of training for my approximately one-month job at Alcatraz Escape Games, and just really getting into the Christmas spirit.

It all started on Tuesday, December 19th. That night, I went to one of my girls' Christmas concerts and might I say she was superb? Hailey, your voice is beautiful and you are beautiful and I love you ❤

Afterwards, we headed to Temple Square and spent some time there just looking at the lights, enjoying deep conversations, and then getting food at City Creek before heading home.

On Thursday the 21st, Hailey, myself, and my girls Emma and Kasey had a get-together and we decorated Hailey's tree (Chantel couldn't come, but we'll definitely get all five us together before I leave!). I've never realized how much fun it is to have friends during Christmas until this year, as we sang Christmas songs and decorated together. It was also the day Hailey bestowed us with her Christmas gifts, which I have featured in the pictures.

The first gift I found in that adorable dog gift bag she gave me was the candle. In fact, the last thing I found was the candy at the bottom, which was a surprise (I was like a kid opening presents on Christmas Day - a fitting description, haha). But the gift that really got the water works flowing was the golden box.

When I first opened it, my immediate thought was, "Oh my gosh this is gorgeous, she shouldn't have." And then she gave me an explanation to it. My heart was full for the rest of the night, and it will remain full for a long while.

The next day, I headed off to work to complete training and test out at work, anxious to finish the enter time before I left for the Megaplex at Jordan Commons. Why? Because I was going to meet a couple of my roommates.

Savannah (left) came to Salt Lake from Atlanta, Georgia. She'll be working in Quick Service Food and Beverage (QSFB)! Makaela (right) came to Salt Lake from Cedar City, and she'll also be working QSFB! I had so much fun talking with them and getting to know them, and Savannah vlogged a bit of our visit while there. I've linked her roommate video here; check it out!

(To access the video, just click/tap on the picture of us!)

If we do end up housing together (fingers crossed), you'll definitely see more of these two on here - and hopefully the other three girls as well. Holding out for good luck and praying I'll get to spend my program with these awesome chicas!

Countdown says I've got 27 days before I leave for the program. I've got a plane ticket on Delta for a 10:45 evening flight and I'll get there to Florida about 6:00 in the morning. If all goes well, I'll be attending the singles ward there before checking into my room.

Probably won't post until I get the housing email-

Merry Christmas Eve everyone!
